Absolutely magnificent! So glad I came upon this! The creativity of the young mind can never be underestimated!
nice song..
my favorite…
Genius, beautifully articulated. Would have to be one of my all time favourites – that and Castles in the Air. My mother had some great taste whilst I was growing up – which as you know some how becomes apart of yourself as you grow older.
Such a lovely song. But annoyingly, the key he sings is either too high or too low for me to sing along to. Damn.
I studiied Vincent at one time. Traveled in his footsteps in France. Loved the Musee D’Orsey in Paris. I stood in front of this picture for a long time. You have to see his work in person because no print comes close. The depth of color is amazing. Vincent was imbalanced but he was also very spoiled by his brother, who supported him almost all his life on the pay of a gallery attendent in Paris. Lovely song.
@redfenderguy It’s actually called both
just a great song
My Dad grew up listening to Motown hits, then he bought a bar in a country music area. I remember the few 8 tracks that he owned . This was on one of them…. a far cry from the country music he was forced to listen to, to keep the customers happy.
This is my kind of music, just a fantastic songwriter singing a fantastic song. No big flashy light shows or backup dancers, just pure talent and emotion on display. Simon and Garfunkel do it the same way. You really do have to wonder if we’ll ever see performers of their calibre again, because all the crap that keeps getting pumped out these days makes me very doubtful.
The most beautiful song ever
Whar TV show is this from? I do not recognize this at all….????? And is ther more from this concert?
what a classic, my dad taught me this on the guitar when I was 7!
@BRAIDERMAN all matamathicans peak in there 20s very few later on can its your brain cells

true story
Penny266, let’s not get caught up in semantics and forget the beauty of the song.
Its called VINCENT NOT STARRY STARRY NIGHT
Yeah….I have never been influenced by mass or popular opinion and that is why I think Don McClean was a much better artisan than Van Gogh was.
I do agree that songwriting is a form of art and Don is most gifted in his form of art. Yess, I do know there are many forms of art but only a few are real MASTERS of that art. Don and Vincent are MASTERS of thier chosen art form.
Never said that Van Gogh was a singer or songwriter but I did say that Don was an artist because songwriting is a form of art!!! There are many forms of art you see…
