kicked out, quit, whatever…youre thinking too hard about stuff
@theZodiacDigital dude of course al must have stayed connected with the band for fun he was not kicked out he couldn’t be in the band anymore because judas priest at first could not get a record deal and al needed money because he had a family to support so he left, i am not sure when dave joined exactly but it is not far fetched to think he could have stayed in contact with the band because ian and kk were his friends or something
that would be impossible.
why it’s weird is cause dave holland came into the band wayyy after al atkins was in the band. their only connection is that they were kicked out of priest at one point or another. that’s the only reason they met.
well al was pretty much the founder along with kk and ian so of course everybody else came after al, what would be just weird is if they came before
so he was in judas priest…after al atkins… that’s funny, right? funny as in weird / interesting
so?
Great song and great performance. You can see these early Priest songs were written for him to sing, and he can be proud to call them his own. This era of Priest with Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings and Sin after Sin is just magical, and what came after spectacular.
so dave holland plays on this…
so sad, rock on , the real JUDAS PRIEST
Yep that’s pretty much it!
At the time that he quit, he and his wife were expecting kids. Judas Priest was not making money to support them so he had to quit the band and get a job. When his kids grew older he began to come back to music.
Yes, it would be cool! The info pages says priest played the long version live, so we need someone to upload the bootleg.
really awesome song.
I wish Priest would release this
Nice song.
cool
Yeah just abit dude, i think he really wanted to stay in priest but didnt have the voice to be accepted. he sounds ok but has nothing on rob!
i love this but the album cover is a really bad rip off of the sin after sin album cover
Yes it is, if they had kept it on Rocka Rolla as a full song rather than the instrumental, however i’m not sure if parts have been changed to make it more modern sounding, would be interesting to hear the full Judas Priest version though!!
According to wikipedia the original Judas Priest song was originally 10 minutes long. Then it was cut to 2 minutes. Is this maybe cover of the whole unreleased song?
